Current Projecs
At any one time, multiple projects are going on in the Lab. Here are a few highlights that we're working on now, along with some past work that was started before we built the current space.

Working prototype of low-cost air quality sensor system that writes data to the flash drive on the Raspberry Pi Pico. One of our students is sonifying the data in Max/MSP. We can power the setup on battery power and will be taking it around various sites in Pittsburgh to collect data.

Data that the sensor collected outside of the Duquesne Medical School on Forbes Avenue, starting shortly after rush hour.

A simple electret condenser microphone wired up to an 1/8" output jack.

One of our wireless temperature and humidity sensors at the Mary Pappert School of Music, with a custom 3D-printed enclosure.

The innards, which consist of a Raspberry Pi Pico W and an SHT45 sensor.

Environmental data plotted from an older build, using the amazing (and free!) jpgraph package for PHP.

A neopixel strip that responds to amplitude.

A neopixel strip that responds to spectrum -- using a frequency-modulated sine wave as a basic example.

A neopixel strip that responds to spectrum -- using a Richard Devine track as an example!
